Near Grass Yalley, westerly slope Sierra Nevada^ Nevada Coti&ty,
Upper Sonoran Zone, at an altitude of 730 m.
In loose soil of volcanic origin. Plants either fully exposed or
partially shaded by Pinm sabiniana, Quercw Brewer^, or Quercus
Garryana.
Spreads by creeping woody stems which emit roots all along
and. form loose mats several meters in diamete^.,, ¡Corolla varying
from nearly white to blue; lobes of upper lip lanceolate, aeute*
lower lip with short obtuse lateral lobes and a rounded fringe^
terminal lobe; filaments blue-purple.
