HUNT CO.: occasional along edge of fenceline woodland
bordering gamagrass grassland on soils mapped as deep,
somewhat poorly drained, mildly alkaline clay Vertisols
(Kaufman Series), on floodplain of major stream, S side of
Cowleech Prairie Preserve, ca. 50 ft. N of Co. Rd. 3128
from a point 1.1-1.2 roadmiles E of its jet. with US Rt. 69 S
of Greenville, at N33°04'05.9”, W096°00’35.1”. Greenville
SE Quadrangle. Elev. 465-469 ft.
Associates included Ambrosia trifida, Aster sp., Croton capitatus,
Desmodium paniculatum, Dracopis amplexicaulis, Iva annua, Kummerowia
stipulacea, Lespedeza sp., Lolium perenne, Panicum sp. (29853), Paspalum
floridanum, Polytaenia nuttallii, Sorghum halepense, Strophostyles helvola,
Tripsacum dactyloides.
