grassland on soils mapped as deep, somewhat poorly drained,
mildly alkaline clay Vertisols (Kaufman Series), on floodplain
of major stream, W side of Cowleech Prairie Preserve, ca.
500 ft. N of Co. Rd. 3128 from a point 1.0-1.1 roadmiles E
of its jet. with US Rt. 69 S of Greenville, at N33°04’17.8”,
W096°00’32.5”. Greenville SE Quadrangle. Elev. 460-465
ft.
Associates included Brunnichia ovata, Cardiospermum halicacabum, Carex
crus-corvi, Cephalanthus occidentals, Eryngium hookeri, Hydrolea ovata
Ludwigia glandulosa, Persicaria sp., Rhynchospora comiculata, Salix nigra.
