PLANTS OF THE CALIFORNIA ISLANDS Flora of Santa Cruz Island Lamiaceae Salvia columbariae Benth. Flowers medium blue with 2 black dots on lower lip, surrounded by white; foliage aromatic. Santa Barbara County: Santa Cruz Island: W end of island, along road to Fraser Point, at third canyon N of Black Point Peninsula, ca. 0.9 mile E of Rancho Nuevo site. Common; eroded S-facing clay slope. Elevation: ca. 320 feet. Associated species: Lupinus succulentus, Phacelia viscida, Atriplex semibaccata, Malva parviflora, Muhlenbergia microsperma. Steven A.
