Description
Stiff shrub 3 m. high; leaves dull on both surfaces. Flowers 2-3 in the axils of leaves. Corolla carnose, deeply grooved, red, apically tinged with yellow. Calyx conspicuosly fluted; pedicel jointed with hypanthium. Anthers 10, not united at base, filaments same length, essentially isomorphic. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
