Tansy ragwort, Senecio iacobaea L., was introduced into the Maritime
Provinces of Canada^over 100 years ago and into western North America
over 50 years ago. This plant is poisonous to livestock and excludes
desirable forage plants in pastures and on ranges, and in the Pacific
Northwest both density and distribution of the plant are apparently
increasing.
