Rosaceae Pyracantha koidzumii Rehder BIG ROCK CREEK: just above the confluence of Holcomb Canyon Creek, between Big Rock Creek Road and the mouth of Holcomb Canyon. T4N R9W, E/2 NE/4 SE/4 sect 20, and SW/4 NW/4 SW/4 sect 21; elevation ca. 4115-4200 feet. Riparian area dominated by Salix laevigata, Platanus racemosa, Alnus rhombifolia, etc. with irregular openings along margin; bouldery alluvial benches dominated by mesophytic herbaceous perennials and scattered annuals; lower slopes of the ridge dividing the two canyons vested in chaparral elements.
