Location
Bolivia. Pando. Madre de Dios Prov. Along Rio Madre de Dios, Santo Domingo. Found on banks of Rio Madre de Dios between Puerto Heath and Riberalta as well as a ruderal in settlements.

Habitat
Clay slumps of high bank of river, secondary vegetation, the top with non-inundated evergreen forest.

Description
Shrubs to 1.5 m. tall. Seems to be a native of the region. Flowers visited by bumble-bees buzzing the anthers for pollen, probably the same species visiting no. 31807. Flowers odorless; corolla pale violet; anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.

Notes (shown on label)
This and no. 31807 Solanum caricaefolium Rusby often grow together, but I saw no evidence of hybridization.
