Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Andrés Ibáñez Prov. Along old road from Santa Cruz to Camiri, 3.5 km S of Pedro Lorenzo, and 20 km S of turnoff from Santa Cruz-Samaipata highway.

Habitat
Gently rolling, soil silt and sand, cleared for pasture. With abundant Acrocomia aculeata, brushy areas, pasture and around muddy cattle pond. Common.

Description
Shrub to 2.2 m tall. Flowers odorless (12:00 noon, partly sunny day with scattered sprinkles); corolla white with shiny yellow star. Fruit green (eventually turning bright orange). Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
