variable moisture.
Dry-mesic upland forest and limestone cliffs, diverse,
little disturbance, Quercus muehlenbergii, Acer
saccharum, Carya, Aster oblongifolius, Aster anomalus.
Flowers pink; occasional perennial herb in few-stemmed
clumps to ca. 0.5 m. not rhizomatous; somewhat mesic
areas at edge of forest near cliff edges, partial shade.
