  • Georeferencing Method

Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the land adjacent to the approximate location of Cachoeira Tarumãzinho. Located site by referring to other locality descriptions as well as by using visual evidence. Cachoiera Tarumãzinho is located at approximately 12 km. along Estrada do Tarumã (Av. do Turismo). Using Google Maps, located Estrada do Tarumã in Tarumã, Manaus. Used measurement tool to measure approximately 12 km. along this road (12.3052 km.), starting at the beginning of this road (at junction with Av. Cel. Teixeira), then located what appears to be the waterfall. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the adjacent land of Cachoeira Tarumãzinho, near Estrada do Tarumã. Used measurement tool (Google Maps) again to measure the total extent the waterfall, then halved this for linear extent. Used linear extent as uncertainty radius.
