Township, hamlet of Montauk. Shadmoor State Park.
(4i.03995°N, 71-93195°W).
Mature shrub 2.5 meters tall; Leaves leathery; adaxial leaf dark
green & glossy; abaxial leaf dull and paler green; stems and bark
light brown; presently no reproductive structures. Growing in shrub
border with Prunus serotina, Amelanchier canadensis and Aronia
melanocarpa.
*Note this is the largest specimen encountered by collector,
otherwise only seedlings are being seen in Montauk County Park.
