Habitat
Wet calcareous prairie. Soils - Felda sand (Arenic Ochraqualfs). Community dominated by Schizachyrium rhizomatum – Rhynchospora colorata – Helenium pinnatifidum. Other associated species include Muhlenbergia sericea, Andropogon longiberbis, Fuirena breviseta, Setaria geniculata, Eragrostis elliottii, Elyonurus tripsacoides, Rhynchospora microcarpa, and Scleria verticillata.
