Madia gracilis (Sm.) Keck
0.9 mile north of Mill Valley at foot
of Mt. Tamalpais, on Lovell Avenue,
Marin County. On open, grassy hillside.
Growing with M.anomala and evidently
hybridizing with it, but much less common.
The anomala plants usually anthocyanous
and br«inched above the middle, the graeiIm-
plants green and branched only at apex.
