Area. Devil Canyon, from confluence with "Miller Creek”
downstream approximately one mile, T8S R5W SW1/4 sec. 15,
SE comer sec. 16, Nl/2 NE1/4 sec. 21. Elev. 1600' - 1760'.
Surrounding slopes with chaparral of Adenostomafasciculatum,
Ceanothus crassifolius, C. spinosus, Quercus dumosa, Rhamnus
ilicifolia, and Heteromeles arbutifolia. Canyon bottom with
Quercus agrifolia woodland on higher benches and riparian
woodland of Platanus racemosa, Salix lasiolepis, and Baccharis
salicifolia along active stream channel
Delicate annual, flowers yellow. Locally common in annual-rich
openings on slope, south side of canyon, just downstream from
confluence with "Miller Creek".
