Redden 2005 Guyana, Cuyuni-Mazaruni, Kamakusa; Mazaruni River; 200 meters from river at base camp. 5° 55' 26"N, 59° 54' 09" W Elev. 78 m. Alluvial forest; white sand mixed with brown sand. Tree, 7 m tall. Bark brown, peely. Flowers cauliflorous; terminal spikes. Flower light purple to white; sepals white; petals purple; filaments white; anthers dark pink.
