Description
Pileus 6.5-8 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, subtomentose ±overall, becoming finely areolate toward the margin, cinnamon brown (6D-E7-6), NH4 (lilac around drop). Flesh yellow (2A6), changing irregularly to blue only over stipe apex and at one or two spots over tubes, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed to depressed around the stipe, yellow (3A5), cyanescent, 1 cm long, with tubes concolorous, cyanescent, <=1 mm broad. Stipe 8-8.5 cm long, 12 mm broad, ±equal, dry, reticulate nearly to base, lemon yellow above (2-3A6) nearly overall, developing rhubarb red colors toward base, with white mycelium at base, with interior yellow above, rhubarb red below, cyanescent.
