Liebre Mountains region, hills at eastern edge of Mint Canyon,
along Davenport Road, ca. 0.45 miles east of junction with Sierra
Highway. Near 34° 28’ 52.9”N 118° 22’ 47.5” W. T5NR14W
SE1/4 SE 1/4 sec. 30. Elev. ca. 2040 ft.
Base of hills on reddish, crumbly soil, northerly facing slope.
Surrounding slopes with scrub of Quercus cf. john-tuckeri,
Artemisia califomica, Yucca whipplei, and Eriogonum
fasciculatum.
Robust annual, flowers white. Locally common on loose soil in
open areas, especially along road edge.
