Growing in moist soil in late secondary forest.

Description
Multi-branched shrub, 4 m tall. Appears to flower after the leaves have been flushed. Flowers past, only two open flowers seen open, 30 mm diam.; corolla white with slight tinge of pink, the flowers and inflorescences sticky to the touch, the filaments white, the anthers poricidal, orange. Trichomes glandular, the apex capitate, red. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
