MONTEREY CO.: Santa Lucia Mountains, Los Padres Na-
tional Forest, at the southern end of Hanging Valley, 1.5 mile
north of the summit of the Milpitas Road above Arroyo Seco
and about 4 miles north-northeast of Escondido Campground,
on rocky soil at about 2700 feet elevation, about 18 airline
miles northwest of King City.
Synonyms: Chorizanthe vortriedei Brandegee and Centrostegia
vortriedei (Brandgee) Goodman.
