Canyon upstream approx. 1 mile, T7S R5W El/2 El/2 sec. 15.
Elev. 13501 -1750'. Adenostoma fasciculatum - Ceanothus
crassifolius chaparral on slopes, Quercus agrifolia woodland on
benches and about springs, riparian woodland of Platanus racemosa,
Fraxinus velutina, Salix lasiolepis, etc. along stream.
Considerable areas of water-worn granitic bedrock with large, deep
pools present in lower 1/3 mile of Wildhorse Canyon.
Annual plants red, flowers pink. Locally common in chaparral
openings on xeric exposures.
