Habitat

Along road, former tropical upland evergreen forest (mata de terra firme sobre latosolo amarelo), now abandoned pastures and secondary vegetation. Dominated by Vismia juruensis, Vismia spp., Cecropia spp., Bellucia.
Description

Woody vine. Calyx red-pink, the corolla first a bright red, then fading to nearly the same color as the calyx. Fruit yellow-green.
