sect. 3. Sand dunes and dry sand prairie, with
thin stand of Ouercus velutina and Pinus
plantations.
Abundant in places, a few stems in a clump;
aromatic, strong and distinctive, unlike M.
fistulosa and not as pleasant. Bracts whitish,
usually becoming blotched with pink; corolla
pale yellow with dark pruple spots. Voucher
for bulk medicinal screening by Pfizer: 43737a
ST (Nee-382); 43737b LF+IF (Nee-383).
