On lip of bank along the Savannah River; sandy edge
of roadside on floodplain of the Savannah. Site
#79 (Lat. 34°20'56"; Long. 82°48T43"), at park
immediately south of the Lake Hartwell Dam. At
the backwaters of the proposed Russell Lake; impound-
ment scheduled for the mid-1980Ts by the U. S. Army
Corps of Engineers.
