Mowed ungrazed grassy areas and gravelly roadbank, with
many introduced Eurasian weeds. Lotus corniculatus,
Melilotus albus, Daucus carota, Sonchus arvensis,
Hypochaeris radicata.
Rhizomatous; sap milky. Heads held erect; flowers bright
yellow, open (10:00 A.M., sunny).
