Primary forest on gently undulating terrain, primarily transition to "baixio" (forest on low-lying, frequently waterlogged soils).

Description
Tree. Tree 25 m x 60 cm, outer bark shallowly and finely fissured, densely raised-lenticellate, thin, inner bark orange- and white-striate. Fruits globose, yellow, 1.5 cm diam. Seeds enveloped in sweet, edible pulp. On terra firme. Photo. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
