Deciduous forest at top of cliff in gorge of the Bronx River, with Ulmus americana, Fraxinus americana, Betula lenta, Aralia elata, Ageratina altissima, Eurybia divaricata.

Description
Tree 9 m tall, the trunk 5 cm diam; bark grey, smooth; lateral branches slender, horizontal to descending; leaves clustered at the ends of the twigs, the leaflet color dark green and strongly contrasting with other foliage at this late stage in the season. This plant spontaneous.
