Dear Sir :
We have just received from Mr. J. Long* of Sherman, Texas,
a specimen of Leonurus cardiac a, which I inclose herewith, thinking
that its occurrence in this region may be of interest to you, as it
is much beyond the range given for this plant in your Jlora of the
Southeastern United States.
MT. Long states that he has lived in Texas more than 20
years, and that this is the first time he has seen the plant there.
He thinks from the location in which he found it, that it must have
been introduced,in hay shipped in from outside of Texas.
Very truly yours,
