Pileus 5.5-6 cm diam, plane with low and broad umbo; surface subviscid when
wet, greyish-orange (6C3) at the center, paler (6B3) toward the margin,
finely fibrillose, with thin, flat, greyish-orange (5B2) patches of
universal veil more abundant; epicutis becoming dark brown at the margin;
margin entire to striate, if striate approx. I cm from margin
to center, crisped, not appendiculate. Context white, 0.5 cm thick,
unchanging. Odor none. Lamellae free, close, white, 0.6-0.6 cm broad;
margin finely serrulate. Lamellulae of three lenghts. Stipe 10-14 cm
broad, tapered at the apex, 0.8 cm wide at the apex, 1.3 cm wide at the
middle, central, bulbous; surface white, staining orange (6A4) after
handling, finely fibrillose, at times the fibrils become brownish on white
background, annulate. Interior white, stuffed, unchanging. Annulus
superior, white, becoming dark brown after handling, membranous, with
grayish orange (5B2) free edge. Volva white with grayish-orange tones,
membranous, very thick, saccate.
