W. Long. T. 24N, R. 10E, SE1/4 NE 1/4 SW 1/4 to
SW1/4 SW1/4 SE1/4 SECT. 28 About 1 mile north of
Oregon. East-facing slopes along the west side of Illinois
Route 2, generally between the main [southern] entrance
road to the Stronghold and Blackhawk Presbytery and
the camp and an iron-gated stone entrance, 0.8
kilometers north of the southern (main) entrance.
Elevation about 699-722 feet. Dolomite outcrop area.
Mesic to wet-mesic upland forest. Flowers yellow, all
rays, very local, but locally common erect herb at wet
margins of old road pavement, partial shade.
