The New York Botanical Garden Plants of U.S.A. Asteraceae Lactuca saligna L. det. M. Nee, 2010 INDIANA, Monroe Co., Bloomington, vie. Courtyard Merriot hotel at S. College Ave. and E 3rd St. 39°09’50”N, 86°32’05”W. alt. 230 m. In cracks in cement of vacant lot, unshaded, with much more Lactuca serriola, the two species very similar, but this one less conspicuous. Flowers open (8:55 A.M., sunny), but the heads very inconspicuous; corollas very pale yellow, similar in size but paler than those of L. serriola, with light purple on outside. Leaves dark green with central whitish stripe. 02925785
