ASTERACEAE Krigia virginica (L.) Willd.
Erect annual herb. Heads on short peduncles which
elongate in fruit, then soon withering.
Scattered in dry sand prairie and around sand blows,
on bare sand or in Cladonia mats. With Andropogon
scoparius, Polygonella articulata, Koeleria macrantha.
Polygala polygama. Wisconsin River valley sand plains.
WISCONSIN: Richland Co., 2 miles NW of Lone Rock.
