6020 ft., N. aspect, slope ca 30%, thin rocky, well
drained soil derived from metamorphic rock. Found
with Acer glabrum, Artemisia tridentata var.
vaseyana, Rosa woodsii, Symphoricarpos oreophilus,
Hackelia patens, Poa bulbosa, Zigadenus paniculatus,
Elymus spicatus and Leucopoa kingii. Abundant for
site with deep pink/magenta flowers.
