Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find the precise location of Brokobakka; instead, georeferenced to the approximate geographic midpoint between the cities of Affobakka and Brokopondo in Brokopondo District, Suriname. Used Google Maps - Earth View to find the cities of Affobakka and Brokopondo. Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to measure a straight line between the approximate geographic centers of Affobakka and Brokopondo, then halved this distance to find the geographic midpoint between the cities. Used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic midpoint. Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool again to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farther of the cities. Input coordinates, linear extent (1920.0 m), and measurement error (5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Between two places).
