  • Habitat

    Gentle, west-dipping slopes. Within matrix of Artemisia tridentata var. vaseyana-Purshia grassland. Locally abundant on barren openings with Cirsium ownbeyi. Exposed, semi-barren deposits of tan clay with covering of small slate fragments and chips.
