Campo rupestre vegetation.
Growing in flat areas below rocky slope.
Little-branched shrubs to 0.5 m tall. Flowers 5-merous. Petals
magenta. Androecium yellow. The smaller set of stamens are
staminodial. Locally common.
With Lavoisiera cordata, L. bradeana.
