Habitat
At about high water mark on the sandy river bank, in dense thickets.

Description
A shrub, 10-1 ft. tall mostly in fruit; berries small yellow 2-3 celled. 1 seed in each. Leaves white, woolly tomentose beneath. FLowers white, unscented. Fairly common. [15-A leaves glabrous].
