Common but quit© local on open E-facing slope about halfway up Mt. Davidson, San Francisco, S. P. Co., Calif. Ray and disk florets yel- low. Pappus tawny. Herbage grayish white with green to blue-green cast. Six to twelve or more stems, decumbent to erect, arose from woody somewhat branching rootstock. With a resinous odor.
