Series rocks; open, rocky peak at subalpine zone;
rare with Xerophyllum tenax, Douglasia montana,
Vaccinium myrtillus, Pinus albicaulis and Penstemon
ellipticus; growing on NE slope at top of cirque,
Sorbus scopulina grows on SW slope; height 1-2 m.
