Wright < Cyperaceae > INDIAN RIVER COUNTY: N27°41’30.0" W80°35’20.7" Blue Cypress, Ansin East, St Johns River Water Management District, ca. 8.6 (air) km SSE of Fellsmere. Dense stand ca. 30 m wide, 100 m long between airboat trail and low dyke with Eleocharis cellulosa and Rhyncospora inundata. Common throughout open marsh with Pcmicum hemitomon and around tree domes. Emergent in 42 cm of water, rooting at submersed nodes, plants over 1 m, some leaning, extremely scabrous. Basal parts and roots red, leaves pleated, achenes jade green. Coll. t.C. Jacono #344 25 September 2001 With V. Ramey and G. Nichols. Det. C.C.J. Achenes turning white-gray after collection.
