Babcock & Hall AST North Coast Ranges: west slope of Mayacamas Mountains, end of Los Alamos Rd., 4.6 miles east of intersection Hwy 12, parking area next to Hood Mountain Regional Park (Kenwood 7.5’ Q.: 38°29'24"N, 122°34'53"W, ±100m; T8N R7W S36). Alt.: 427m/1400ft. Clay soil on ridges and steep west and south-facing slopes; with Ceantaurea solstitialis, C. calcitrapa, Plantago lanceolata and dead introduced annual grasses including Avena barbata. Highly aromatic annual, abundant in grazed natural grasslands. Herbage sticky-glandular. Ligules white, some with pink stripe on back.
