Hemlzonia congesta typica
Sixr miles northwest of Petaluma. On
gentle slopes of low hills, in meadow
of grasses and such forms as: Agoserlar
Plantago lanceolata, Hypoohaerle.
Medicago klspida, etc. Colonies of
Pteris near but the Hemlzonia does not
mix with it.

Ray-flowers 10 to 12,
white but with a faint yellow
on back, where in some plants there
is also a little brown-purple.
Abundant over an area at least one
mile square.
