minute U.S.G.S. quadrangle. Elevation 560-580 feet.
Disturbed sandy clay-loam.
Dry-mesic upland forest, open roadside bank
dominated by Juníperas virginiana, Prunus serótina,
Quercus imbricaría, Eupatorium spp. Rays yellow,
disc golden-orange; locally common rhizomatous
colonial perennial herb 2 meters tall; southwest facing
roadbank slope in full sun.
