Germantown, behind Red Robin Terrace; 39° 10’ N, 71° 16’W; under storey of Liriodendron - Acer woodland. Stems erect to 1.5 m or arching over and up to 3 m long, not climbing; leaves densely whitish beneath; flowers opening at mid day; sepals conspicuous, folded together and erect most of the time but at anthesis reflexing to reveal 5 tiny white petals which are ovate to heart-shaped, c. 2x2 mm, longitudinally grooved, all folding in together to form a subconical discove^the stamens and ovary., it CUu'mSv. , fc<n R.K.
