below. Petals and stamens white; calyx and styles green;

Steep NE facing strip of ungrazed woods with a few
limestone outcrops, between town road and apple orchard.
Quercus rubra, Ch_ alba, Tilia ameriCana, Ulmus rubra,
Carya ovata, C. cordiformis, Juglans cinerea, Populus
grandidentata, Prunus virginiana, P. serotina. With
Vitis riparia, aestivalis, Osmunda claytoniana, Aralia
nudicaulis, Osmorhiza longistylis, O. claytonii.
