FLORA OF SOUTH CAROLINA GEORGETOWN COUNTY SCIRPUS CALIFORNICUS (C. Meyer). Steudel Spikes brown, pointed; culms massive, aerenchymatous, vaguely 3-angled but essentially terete; stems rooted in fairly deep (at least 2 feet?) water of East Sampit River; boat landing opp ball park off Bay St, Georgetown, at entrance to Winyah Bay.
