Locally common. Some plants more than 1 m tall. Ray flowers
yellow, disk flowers becoming brownish-yellow with age.
Peduncles becoming maroonish. Stems quite succulent..
Chromosome voucher. Silica gel dried leaves preserved at the
DNA Bank, Missouri Botanical Garden.
