Helenium flexuosum Raf.
In open, sunny area on narrow floodplain along the
Savannah River; at base of steep, west-facing slope
with cedars and hardwoods. Site #12 (Lat. 34°03f30";
Long. 82°37,12”), ca. 1.5 miles south of the S. C.
72 bridge over the Savannah. Below the 475-ft. con-
tour (full pool for proposed Russell Lake). Area to
be impounded in the mid-1980*s.
