blades mostly 5-4 mm, wide, nearly flat: spikelets ntaneroue in 5-6,
very slender-peduncled ooiymb-like oymes, narrowly ovoid, 2.5-5.5 mm.
loBg, dark-brown: perlanth-bristles about as long as the aehene: aohene
suborbioular, about 1.5 mm. lofcg, irregularly transversely wrinkled;
the tuberole deltoid, mueh »horter than the aohene. •— Everglades,
