The New York Botanical Garden Plants of COLORADO Grindelia subalpina E, Greene CO: El Paso Co. Interstate 25 & Palmer Lake exit, just past weigh station, adjacent to Dairy Queen parking lot. Plants scattered in rocky soil in empty lot next to the Dairy Queen. 0.9-1.5 ft. tall, may have been mowed, many well past flowering. Most with one main stem from a taproot. Apparently biennial.
